Reportage

Editorial is the beating heart of our group and includes a great many positions, from editorial assistants, who contribute to the material production of the book, to editorial directors, who develop editorial policies and oversee their implementation.  The editorial director is responsible for developing an editorial policy, scouting and selecting authors, designing books and establishing and following budgets.

Education and skills:

Some of the most prestigious degree programmes in France are:

master’s degrees in publishing (such as those offered by Université Sorbonne Paris Nord and Sorbonne Université)
and the master’s degree in publishing management at ESCP Business School.

Behind the scenes: responsibilities of an editorial assistant

  • Contribute to the material design of books
