Hachette Antoine is a prominent Lebanese publisher jointly owned by Hachette Livre (50%) and Librairie Antoine (50%), a bookstore dating back to 1933. The company publishes fiction and nonfiction books in Arabic through the Naufal imprint for the countries of the Middle East, the Persian Gulf and North Africa, including Arabic classics; modern works by regional authors such as Ahlam Mosteghanemi, the most widely read female author in the Arab world; and works in translation by authors such as J.K. Rowling, Mary Higgins Clark, Harlan Coben and Guillaume Musso. The imprint also publishes children’s books for every age, from early childhood to young adult readers, as well as licensed works (Disney-Marvel, Paw Patrol, etc.). In addition, the house publishes how-to books, with a special emphasis on cooking (including the famous Chef Antoine), as well as nonfiction and reference books. Hachette Antoine publishes textbooks in Arabic, English and French for the whole Arabic-speaking market.
