Lise Boëll appointed CEO of Éditions Fayard

A seasoned publisher with a successful track record, Lise Boëll will oversee Éditions Fayard’s continued development in fiction and non-fiction, expanding the reach of the imprint's authors and prestigious catalogue.

Lise Boëll's appointment as CEO of Éditions Fayard takes effect today.

Biographical information:

Lise Boëll began her career in 1997 as Editorial Director at Éditions Albin Michel, where she published numerous bestsellers, before joining Editis and Editions Plon as Managing Director from 2021 to 2023, and the Hachette Livre group in 2024 as Managing Director of Mazarine.

Hachette Livre is a subsidiary of Lagardère SA and the world’s third-largest mainstream publishing group (trade and educational). With revenue of €2,809 million in 2023, it is the market leader in France, number two in the UK, third in Spain and fourth in the US (in trade publishing). The Group comprises over 200 imprints which together publish around 15,000 new titles each year in a dozen languages (mainly French,English and Spanish). It covers all segments of the mainstream publishing market: general fiction, non-fiction, paperbacks, children’s and YA books, illustrated books, travel guides, textbooks, study guides and partworks.
